The Phantom Society
“So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But, when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret.
Our definition of a phantom: something or someone apparent to sense but with no known existence, something elusive or visionary.
We are asking our local communities and individuals to join the Society to raise money that will be used as matching funds for Read for a Ride Book Club, Toys for Tots and other charity events. We will offer these funds, provided by a Phantom, to purchase new bikes, computers and toys for our local children. No one can know that you, as an individual, are a member of this society. You can promote that your community or company is a member of the Phantom Society and that you support our local charities with matching funds for their events.
